Have you ever wondered how come life keeps throwing stuff at you and somehow you always end up on the other side of each circumstance anyways?

Would you like to know how to come out on the other side without feeling completely exhausted or resentful?

Let me share a quick story with you:

Over the course of the last weeks I had my second COVID19 vaccine (for which I had prepared my immune system), had to pack the house in Florida for the next 5 months that we’d be away in Canada, left our friends in Florida who are dealing with a life-threatening illness and whom we’ve been helping out, we drove our Sprinter with the Airstream van through delugial Florida rains and then… I met 90% of my new in-laws almost in one sitting. Reconstituting the family tree took me about 4 days with all the cute babies and kids.

Then we had to get organized to schedule a COVID test that would be no older than 72hrs when we’d cross the border into Canada… driving north, planning our daily mileage and staying in a campground in Virginia, more diving north and staying in another campground in upstate NY, receiving our covid tests by email, managing our Sprinter-Airstream caravan with choosing gas stations that were big enough for us to go through, finding out for the first time where to put the DEF in our diesel engine (with a mandatory read in the owner’s manual), getting all of our papers together for Ken and I to cross into Canada including our marriage certificate, getting another covid test at the border and driving home for our quarantine, unpacking all the food and stuff we took with us, resuming work with clients the next day and loving it!

As I reflect on this, I know that my old self would have felt enormous pressure and stress from all of this.

Looking back at these past weeks, I notice that even the less enjoyable moments or potentially very stressful moments were actually… memorable.

Here’s the key factor for this and the goal of my message (on top of giving you news):

Remaining calm and fully present in the moment.

There’s nothing else than the present moment and since the present is a mandatory passage, why not choose even more intentionally in which state of being you want to be? The past no longer exists, the future isn’t here yet.

You’ll get there anyways so it’s your choice whether you want to spend that moment worrying and getting upset or staying calm and present. You won’t get this moment back another time so what do you want to do and be with it?

I found so much empowerment in being calm and present that I think I’ll do it again, and again, oh and did I say again at every moment?!! 🤣🤣
